About Us

Community Powered. Educator Led.

Helping Bright Ideas Grow.

The Collingswood Education Fund (CEF) is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting, enriching, and advancing student learning in Collingswood Public Schools through fundraising, partnerships, and grantmaking.

We believe the most impactful ideas for students often begin in classrooms, with educators who understand their students' needs firsthand. Our role is to help those ideas grow.

Our Story

How CEF Began.

The Beginning

The Collingswood Education Fund grew out of a grassroots community effort to better understand and respond to ongoing public school funding challenges in New Jersey.

Bridge the Gap Colls

CEF's President and Vice President were originally involved with Bridge the Gap Colls, a parent- and resident-led advocacy group formed to support equitable state education funding and help ensure a fully supported school district in Collingswood, New Jersey.

A Clear Need

Through that work, it became increasingly clear that even in strong public school communities, many innovative educational programs and classroom initiatives struggle to secure sustainable funding.

CEF Is Created

CEF was created to bring together community members, families, educators, local businesses, and civic leaders to help transform educator-led ideas into meaningful opportunities for students. Our Board is entirely volunteer-run and committed to transparent, community-focused operations.

Today

We continue to grow, believing that public education is strengthened when communities invest directly in the creativity, expertise, and innovation already present within their schools.

Who We Are

We are your neighbors, united for our children.

We are your neighbors, united by a shared commitment to the future of our children and our community.

Our committees are made up of parents, educators, community members, local leaders, and business owners who believe in the power of collaboration to create new opportunities for our schools.

We are a community-driven organization working to support innovative ideas, strengthen educational experiences, and help our educators bring their brightest ideas to life.

Together, we are building a foundation of support that invests in our classrooms, celebrates the creativity of our teachers, and ensures our students have access to meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.
